Scuba diving in some of the world’s most pristine and famous waters is an unmatched experience. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven wonders of the world – and we’re lucky enough to have it as our backyard. True Blue Sailing scuba diving tours depart from Airlie Beach and take you on a journey around the Whitsunday Islands through to the Great Barrier Reef. Do I need to wear a stinger suit when scuba diving in the Whitsundays?
Stinger suits or wetsuits are a necessity when scuba diving in the Whitsundays, especially during the warmer months of Australia – October to May. The tropical waters home to the Whitsunday region are an ideal environment for marine stingers to reproduce. Not only will the stinger suits/wetsuits protect you from being stung, they will also protect you from the sun and add an extra layer of protection from the coral or other marine animals.
